Will there be a hybrid version of the Loremo?
In connection with the development of an electric version we will also develop a hybrid version. Apart from substantially higher cost and the comparably low saving potential the hybrid offers advantages: compared to the diesel engine, a higher power output would be possible, while leaving low consumption unchanged. With a range of approx. 10-20 km the vehicle would be able to travel into city areas that are restricted to normal vehicles. Compared to a plain electric vehicle, the hybrid can also run on diesel and therefore has ecological advantages over the electric vehicle, when used in fuel mode.

Will there be an electric version of the Loremo?
We are working on a cooperation to produce an electrical version. In view of today’s technical standard, we do not believe in a wide spreading of electrically powered cars. Also, promoting the production of regenerative electricity would hinder the spreading of solar power production and therefore promote the coal and nuclear energy sectors. Our engagement is targeted at markets in the US and in Europe, where national and political impulses lead people to buy electric vehicles.

Will there be a version that can run on bio diesel?
The standard version of the Loremo will be able to run on bio diesel.

Will there be a version that can run on vegetable oil?
If at all possible with the engines that we select, there will be an optional version for vegetable oil. We must point out, however, that vegetable oil production can be ecologically debatable for a lot of reasons. Loremo supports the ecologically tolerable production of vegetable oil in Europe. Nevertheless, the main advantage of the Loremo is its great fuel efficiency.

Can the Loremo climb a steep mountain pass?
The Loremo is a light-weight and the weight to power ratio is actually not uncommon in the compact size vehicle range. With one driver the Loremo can still travel a 10% gradient at 50 mph. Typical Freeway gradients of approx. 7% can be travelled at speeds of 60 mph. Even loaded to its maximum capacity of 700 kg the Loremo is capable of speeds up to 80 km/h and its acceleration is comparable with other current compact cars.
