Will the interior of the Loremo get wet when I enter it during rain?

During the short period of entry the vehicle´s floor will be exposed to rainfall. A small segment of the seats will also be affected. This is not really uncommon. Many modern cars now have door openings cut out to expose some seat area for reasons of better accessibilty.

We have experimented with various solutions. We could have hinged the doors to the roof and have them swing to the back which would have left the seat area covered. This solution would have prevented the easy exchange of the roof module. Also, driving without the roof module would not be possible any more. At this point, driving pleasure took precedence for us. Normally, there is a pause in the downpour every so often - even on a rainy day.

Will there be enough heating capacity?
The Loremo will use exhaust heat to heat the cabin. This is available almost instantly. The system is known from the Volkswagen Beetle.

Where is the trunk and how much will it hold?
While travelling with two passengers, the Loremo provides a spacious trunk in the rear. The back seats can be folded up to form a larger level area. Four passengers can comfortably undertake short trips while light baggage can be stowed in the front trunk that is located in front of the foot space and is actually about twice as deep as the picture suggests (we are hiding stuff underneath the mats).

As doors open to the top how do I gain access?

Similar to sports cars, the Loremo is a very lowly built car. Entering low sports cars by side doors can be a  physically demanding task. Furthermore, the patented linear cell structure of the Loremo calls for another solution as the superior safety properties are actually provided by the edge that you need to cross. The wing doors are the ideal solution. In fact, they are even better than wing doors opening sideways.

The vehicle is entered by stepping over the side, rather like into a bath tub, but with a non-slippery surface to step on and plenty of firm structure for support in easy reach . Once inside the car, you can stand upright in front of the front seats, since neither roof nor steering wheel are in the way.

Sitting down, you hold onto the handle provided in the upper outside corner of the foot compartment (NOT the steering wheel). You sit down until you make contact with the seat and move backwards until you touch the back rest. Only then do you let go of the handle and lean back slightly bending your head sideways. The door is then pulled down by means of the steering wheel.

Getting out is also very easy. Get a hold of the handle and take a firm grip. Pull at it and straighten your knees at the same time, then step outside. Watch the video.

Will there be a convertible version available?
There will be a convertible module that can be mounted instead of the standard roof module. Weather conditions permitting, it is also possible to remove the standard roof and to drive without it.

Will there be a tow bar available for the Loremo?
Yes. We will also offer a special trailer for the Loremo to maximize its versatility.

As the wing doors open upwards, will there be enough clearance in a standard garage?
A standard garage clearance will be enough as the maximum height of the vehicle is below 6ft 8in. Lower garages  can be padded where the doors would touch the ceiling and it will still be possible to get in and out. In garages that are too low for the Loremo, you would not be able to stand upright yourself.
