A substantial contribution to passenger protection

mood_autoFollowing the example of the Monocoque, Loremo invented the Quattrocoque, a passenger safety cell for four passengers. This system is a steel tub divided into four cells, closed on all sides, thus protecting occupants from all sides and representing a new level of passive protection.

Similar to Formula-I technology, the structure of the cell is not compromised by cut-outs for doors, thus providing unmatched side impact protection.

The patented passenger cell of the Loremo is not only outstandingly safe: with a weight of only 95 kg it is particularly light and can be produced at reasonable cost. As it only consists of a few sheet metal components it has an extremely high torsional stiffness. The crush-collapsible zone of 24 inches drastically increases passenger protection.

In the mid section, where most vehicles are vulnerable, the Loremo is particularly rigid. The engine and gear box are mounted in a massive trapezoid cross-member of steel between the front and rear passenger seats.

This protects the vulnerable body sections of the passengers - pelvis, upper body parts and head -  and makes the Loremo an extremely safe car to travel in.

A vehicle dry weight of 550 kg. Low weight and high safety potential are not contradictory.

A range of 600 miles

mood_natureThe city of the current soccer world champion is always worth a visit. That’s probably why, in the old saying, all roads lead to Rome. Heading from Munich, the route leads you over the Alps, right through some of the most amazing cultural landscapes in Europe. The Loremo will accomplish the venture with less than the five gallons that the tank will hold. That just about equals 26 Euros. Actually, Rome is best when visited with a friend or dear one, so that would make the calculation 13 Euros per head count. Being fair, we should mention, that this calculation did not take into account any freeway tolls. We should also mention that European fuel prices are about twice the US prices.

But anyway, thanks to the detachable glass panorama roof and revealing a panoramic view, you should enjoy taking side roads, as there is much more to see.  That’s how contemporary and appropriate individual travel should be: affordable, economically sound and efficient.

A range of about 600 miles with an average mileage of 120 and a tank capacity of five gallons (US).

Spend your vacation at home

Mood WM 2006It was a party like it was never experienced before. Fans were joining hands in the streets, no matter from which nation. In the end it seemed as if the results of the favourite team were negligible. People were simply celebrating themselves and having a good time. The world press had only benevolent words left for the host, even if they did not succeed against Italy in the end. Actually, it wasn’t the wonderful sport of soccer that made all this happen, but rather the freedom of people to travel. Although the world championship became a huge success for tourism it also caused millions of individual travellers to produce tonnes of greenhouse gases and substantial environmental pollution.

Of course, you could spend your vacation at home. In 2006 we Germans had every reason to do so. But we Germans are also known as world champions of travel. So we have a title to defend. We humans enjoy traveling, not only because it connects us, but also because it has become a vastly important economic factor: travel produces wealth. In order to preserve the joy of traveling we need to develop efficient transportation technologies. Be it on land, air or see.

The cheapest energy is the one you don’t use at all.

mood_natureSaving energy does not do any harm and has a nice side effect to it: it does not cost anything. This is where the Loremo, with its sensational economy, is at it’s best. Viewing the figures reveals that there is no cheaper way of travelling on four wheels.

Due to its modular construction, the Loremo can be offered for less than 20.000 Euros. Maintenance costs are low and the design has been specially tuned to qualify for favourable insurance ratings.

The Loremo is the best value on four wheels going further than any other car with these levels of passenger protection, day-to-day useability and road handling.

A sensible trend: save and replace energy

moodScientists claim, that about 70 % of our total energy consumption is lost in useless activities. So the only way to reduce energy waste is to increase efficiency. Don’t forget, the wasted 70 % could represent our future resources.

Loremo demonstrates how it can be done: with an average mileage of over 120 per US-gallon. It offers room for two adults and two children and reaches a top speed of 100 mph. Of course, it can run on bio diesel and because it needs so little of it, its supply could soon be replaced by renewable fuel. That makes the figures add up: save three quarters and consume one.

In 2000, German vehicle consumption averaged out at 30 mpg.

When it comes to carbon dioxide being stingy is fine
Fleet emissions
CO2
Loremo 50 gr/km
Smart 116 gr/km
Mercedes-Benz
186 gr/km
Volkswagen 161 gr/km
Toyota 163 gr/km
Porsche 297 gr/km

The chart shows it: the Loremo is already ahead of all EU emission limits and self-restrictions of the manufacturers. Its carbon dioxide emission rate is the benchmark for everyone. No other vehicle can claim lower rates. With 50 gr/km the Loremo is the cleanest vehicle with combustion engine. A diesel particle filter is fitted as standard.

Crucial factors for a vehicle’s environmental compatibility are not only consumption and emissions, but equally production materials and technologies. This is why the Loremo is the most environmentally friendly and compatible vehicle available today.
