Die Loremo AG ist in diesem Jahr zum zweiten Mal auf der IAA in Frankfurt. Beim ersten Mal im Jahre 2001 hatten wir nur die Idee eines sparsamen Autos und einige bunte Bilder dazu. Und obwohl unser Auftritt damals von den Ereignissen des 11. Septembers überschattet wurde, hatten wir viel positive Resonanz, die uns ermutigte, die Idee eines super-effizienten Autos in die Realität umzusetzen.

Der Weg dies zu tun war oft steinig und von knappen Budgets geprägt. Wir haben dabei stets an die technische Machbarkeit geglaubt, aber auch Zweifel an den Marktchancen eines extrem sparsamen Kleinwagens gehabt.

Seit wir im letzten Jahr auf dem Genfer Autosalon und der  Südostasienshow in Kuala Lumpur zum ersten Mal unser Show-Car zeigten sind wir auch vom Markt überzeugt. Marktbefragungen haben bestätigt, dass es den selbstbewussten, verantwortungsvollen Loremo-Fahrer gibt, welcher die Authentizität des Autos schätzt und die Philosophie dahinter als Teil eines zukunftsfähigen Lebensstils sieht. Knapp 50.000 Menschen haben sich inzwischen für den Kauf des Autos vormerken lassen.

Last weekend, the testing series on the Loremo “L1” began. First impression of the plainly painted test vehicle on slalom, high speed and handling course confirmed the expectations of the technicians: the patented rear axle provides great road holding capabilities and the low centre of gravity allows for outstanding handling characteristics.

A slight suspension could be felt during the first consumption measurements under realistic conditions, only to be relieved by the official result of less than 2 litres per 100 km. Again, the Loremo completely owned up to the expectations of the developer team. Still having a few extremely tough testing procedures to go through in the coming months, Loremo’s first appearance did not leave any doubt that it will pass all remaining testing challenges.

During its testing premier a film crew was present on location and shot the first high-resolution pictures of the Loremo. As the crew witnessed the vehicle in action, so will visitors of the upcoming International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, where the Loremo will be presented live.
