Streamlined shapes, a more commodious
interior room and improved aerodynamics have been on top of our
designers' and engineers' agenda, recently. The new design of the
Loremo aims at meeting the requirements of the market by some
substantial enhancements to the profile of the car's body. Compared
to the prototype as shown on the IAA in Frankfurt, lately, the new
Loremo above all provides its passengers with a more spacious
interior.
Due to our objective of increasing the
car's convenience qualities it has significantly gained in height and
width. At the same time, we have managed to keep the low air
resistance level despite of the now larger front surface. The new
stylistic featuring will thus effectively solve the problem of
reconciling air drag and aesthetics.
In consequence, the new design does not
only help achieve the utmost degree of efficiency but also highlights
new aesthetic aspects. The rear end of the cars slopes down a little
more and the taillights have become larger. Additionally, the car's
face has been reworked to make for a completely consistent overall
impression.

Marl / Munich. As a tribute to increasing inner-city traffic density, Loremo will give priority to the launch of the E-Loremo. Considering time-to-market demands, the focus will be on reinforced implementation of production, new partnerships rather than prolonged internal developments, marketability of the Loremo E-Motion, as well as a thoroughly revised vehicle design.
To match the strategy, Loremo staff is now backed up by skilled-in-the-trade experts to enhance performance in the fields of financing, marketing and series production. Gerd Otto joins the team to extend strategic alliances. As a long-standing manager in automotive business, he's a specialist in setting up structures of processes and controlling. - To improve outside communication and to sharpen the company's marketing efforts, Peter Grett is new to the crew. He brings in some skills in creating distriubution channels for car makers. - Completing the competence reinforcement, Willi Wurl has hired on to tighten integration of construction partners and outside suppliers for a decisive move towards serial manufacture. He has gained his experience by developing car production at Mercedes Benz.
On the other hand, former CEO Gerhard Heilmaier has left the board but will, however, remain closely associated with the Loremo project. He now joins the management of Switzerland's ASTREMO Powertrain AG, where highly efficient propulsion systems are developed that will likely also serve the Loremo. 'As a co-founder and shareholder of Loremo, I am unalterably interested in the company's success,' Heilmaier explains his move. 'More than ever, the concept of the Loremo is the right approach to future mobility.'

Vienna. The Loremo heralds the future of automotive traffic at Vienna's reputable museum of technology. As an eye-catcher in the museum's grand lobby the Loremo is currently announcing an upcoming exhibition, entitled "Efficient Mobility - Ideas for Tomorrow´s Traffic". The Loremo stands exemplary in representing a new generation of highly efficient cars. Museum staff reported that "Only on display for the second day, the definite eye-catcher Loremo already was in high demand".
The exhibition is part of a climate initiatiative in cooperation with the Austrian Energy Agency: "How will individual mobility work on a sustainable and environment-friendly basis? Technology, science and company management are challenged to find new ways in reversing the trend in carbon dioxide emissions caused by car traffic in favour of attaining a zero-emission mobility."
Focused on climate protection, ecological engines and prototypes, as well as efficient mobility management, the exhibition intends to give various insights into the important and controversial topic in a comprehensible way. Interacting with the audience, the latest developments in the fields of alternative propulsion and renewable fuel are introduced. Opening will be on the 4th of June. As
crude oil prices top the magic $100-mark, on occasion, a short review: In 1973
the OPEC chose to cut down oil production for political reasons, causing a
global recession. In Germany, private car traffic was prohibited on Sundays.
Images of deserted Autobahns were on the news. Then, a barrel of crude (159
litres) soared from $3 to $5. Now, we're facing a twenty-fold
record -
the oil price has since gone through the roof by incredible 2000 percent.
With
countries like India and China reinforcing the trend, some analysts see the
barrel skyrocket up to $150 with reserves in demand. The fact, that production
volumes are barely increasable contributes to this assessment. There just won't
be more oil: Most of the easily accessible reserves have seen their maximum
output. Development and exploitation of future deposits - like polar or
submarine sources - require some vastly extended efforts. All true. And yet,
the real cause for the over-priced oil has little to do with availability and
needs:
The
world needs roughly 86 million barrels of oil every day. Surprisingly, as much
as 15 times that amount is traded every day. Yet to see any refinery, every
barrel of crude changes hands 15 times on average at computer-based markets of banks
and investment companies. That explains why quotations would double within the
past year, while actual demand increased only by a meager 2 percent. That also
explains how Exxon Mobil managed to announce a $40 billion all-time record
profit: No company in economic history has ever made more money. And that's why
oil is somewhat pricy these days.
However, we have not nearly seen all the expenses that go along with the combustion of oil. Our economies will be presented with a much higher bill that will dwarf even the profits of multi-national companies and brokers. Unfortunately, consumers are to pay for both, eventually. - Since there is
hardly an escape from this dilemma, Loremo provides a solution - at least for car
drivers. The Loremo E-Motion will be among the first fully equipped,
electrically powered cars available. And it will not burn a single drop of oil.

Marl. One of the key factors in the development of advanced propulsion systems for aerodynamically optimized vehicles, such as our product, the Loremo, is an electric drive. This is why we plan to make an electric Loremo available together with the launch of our Diesel models at the beginning of 2010.
The engine output will be approx. 20 kilowatts. In regular mode the E-Loremo is likely to consume 6kwh/100km, equivalent to the power value of 0.6 litres of diesel fuel. A top speed of 170 km/h and an acceleration of 15 seconds to 100 km/h illustrate that no compromises have been made in the field of performance. The E-Loremo is even capable of mobilizing as much as 40 kilowatts (55hp) of power
for short-term actions like overtaking. A high agility is to be expected while emissions remain zero. The battery capacity has not yet been finally specified, however, the goal is a mobility range of around 100 to 125 miles.
According to current German e-power rates, round about 1 EURO will buy 100 kilometers of range!
A first prototype of the E-Loremo will likely be ready as soon as mid 2008, so it won't make it to this year's Geneva Motorshow. The board have therefore decided to call off participation at the fair and to put expenses into technical development and fine-tuning, instead.
