In Pursuit of new Benchmarks in Efficiency

Loremo-Elektro-Art2.jpg Marl. One of the key factors in the development of advanced propulsion systems for aerodynamically optimized vehicles, such as our product, the Loremo, is an electric drive. This is why we plan to make an electric Loremo available together with the launch of our Diesel models at the beginning of 2010.

The engine output will be approx. 20 kilowatts. In regular mode the E-Loremo is likely to consume 6kwh/100km, equivalent to the power value of 0.6 litres of diesel fuel. A top speed of 170 km/h and an acceleration of 15 seconds to 100 km/h illustrate that no compromises have been made in the field of performance. The E-Loremo is even capable of mobilizing as much as 40 kilowatts (55hp) of power for short-term actions like overtaking. A high agility is to be expected while emissions remain zero. The battery capacity has not yet been finally specified, however, the goal is a mobility range of around 100 to 125 miles.

According to current German e-power rates, round about 1 EURO will buy 100 kilometers of range!

A first prototype of the E-Loremo will likely be ready as soon as mid 2008, so it won't make it to this year's Geneva Motorshow. The board have therefore decided to call off participation at the fair and to put expenses into technical development and fine-tuning, instead.
